Poser / Help & information

Poser Privacy Policy

Document version: 1.1 · Last updated: 26 October 2026

The short version

Poser helps you recreate a reference pose with camera, visual, and spoken coaching. Pose processing happens on your device. Poser does not upload your camera frames, reference photos, or pose results to a Poser server. There is no Poser account, advertising, or cross-app tracking. Third-party diagnostics, support messages, and optional participation in app testing are explained below.

Who we are

This policy explains how Poser (“the app”) handles your information on iOS and Android. Poser is provided by Lucid And Company Ltd. (“we”, “us”). Privacy and support contact: support.lucidandcompany@gmail.com.

Data the app stores on your device

  • The app uses your camera and body-position information on your device to provide pose coaching. It does not use this information to identify you.
  • Imported photos and information about their poses are stored on your device.
  • Photos, silent session videos, and edited results are stored on your device. Saved challenge progress can include photos and pose information so you can resume later.
  • Coaching preferences, challenge history, and progress are stored locally. Poser currently has no account or cloud sync.

What we collect and how we use it

We do not receive your in-app photos, videos, or pose information through normal use of Poser. We may receive information you send for support and information Apple shares when you participate in TestFlight. We use it to respond, troubleshoot, manage testing, and improve the app. Third-party diagnostics are described below.

We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising. We share support information with providers only as needed to handle your request, or where disclosure is required by law. TestFlight information is subject to the separate restrictions described below.

How the app uses your phone’s features

  • Camera access enables live coaching, photos, and optional session recording.
  • The system photo picker lets you select reference photos without granting access to your entire library. On iOS, saving a result requests permission to add it to Photos when needed. On Android 13 or later, saving does not require photo-library read access or a separate add-only prompt. On Android 12 or earlier, saving may require storage permission; Poser uses it only to save the result you choose.
  • Session videos are silent. Poser does not currently request microphone or location access.

You can change permissions in your device’s Settings. Without camera access, live coaching and capture cannot run. Session recording can be turned off in Poser’s Settings.

Saving, sharing, and backups

Save adds the output you choose to your photo library. Share opens the system share sheet, where you choose a destination. That destination’s policies apply to the copy you send. We do not receive a copy unless you deliberately send one to us, for example with a support request.

Your device’s backup settings and services such as iCloud Photos, Google Photos, or Android backup may copy app data or saved media to your own cloud storage. Poser does not operate that storage or provide an additional encrypted vault.

Third-party diagnostics

Google provides components used for on-device processing. Google states that the images and videos they process are not sent to its servers. Google may receive technical information about feature usage and performance, the app, and your device or operating system. This is separate from your photos and camera frames and is used to maintain and improve its services. Poser does not use advertising or cross-app tracking services.

Google’s Privacy Policy describes how it handles this information: https://policies.google.com/privacy

If you use Poser through TestFlight

If you choose to test Poser through TestFlight, Apple collects crash and usage information and makes it available to us. This can include device/OS details, app version, install/session counts, and crash logs. Invitations by email can also identify your name and email address. Feedback you submit may include comments and screenshots you choose to send.

We use this information to manage testing, diagnose problems, and improve Poser. We do not use it for advertising or share TestFlight testing data with third parties. Apple controls its own retention and TestFlight settings: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/data/en/test-flight/

App store diagnostics

Apple and Google may collect crash, performance, installation, and device information through their operating systems and app stores according to their policies and your settings. They may make reports available to us to diagnose problems and improve Poser. These reports are separate from photos and videos you create in the app.

Support and policy hosting

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you send. We use them to respond and troubleshoot. Please send only the information needed for the issue. Our email provider processes support correspondence.

Our public privacy, terms, and support pages are hosted by Vercel. When you visit them, Vercel processes ordinary website request information, such as your IP address, browser details, and the requested page, to deliver and protect the website. Poser does not append your photos or pose data to these links. If you follow an older policy link hosted on Notion, Notion processes that website visit under its own privacy policy.

Data security, retention, and deletion

You can remove imported references from My Imports. On iOS, use “Delete App” in Settings to remove the app’s local storage; “Offload App” retains documents and data. On Android, use Settings → Apps → Poser → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstall the app without keeping its data. Menu names vary by device. Copies saved to your photo library, shared elsewhere, or held in device backups must be managed separately; restoring a backup may restore older app data. Poser has no account to delete.

We rely on your operating system’s app-storage protections. Protect your device and backups with appropriate security settings. We cannot recover local content for you.

Support messages and any testing records we retain are kept only as long as needed to handle the request, investigate the issue, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information we hold, subject to applicable legal requirements. Apple and Google manage the records they hold under their own policies. We cannot delete your on-device files remotely.

Your choices and rights

You control camera and Photos permissions in device Settings and choose whether to save or share an output. You can remove local data as described above. Because we do not hold your in-app content, we cannot access, export, or delete that content for you.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information we hold, and to object to or restrict certain uses. Contact us to make a request about support or testing records. You may also contact your local privacy regulator. We will handle requests according to applicable law.

Children and other people’s photos

Poser is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us through support or feedback, contact us. Only import or share photos you have permission to use, and respect the privacy of other people in them.

International processing

Support providers, Apple, Google, and the provider hosting this policy may process information in countries other than yours under their respective policies. Your core camera and pose-processing inputs remain on your device as described above.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy before introducing material changes to Poser’s data handling, explain those changes, and obtain permission where required before introducing new data uses. The document date identifies the latest revision.
